My Project

It seems like an eternity ago, my buddies at AOL in the Cyberwriting Class urged me to unify the ramblings and mistaken starts I'd made all over the Net. Actually, it was only a few years, but in internet time that is ages. There have been changes in the Net and in my life. Still, the project continues with newer old friends, with stops and starts and side trips, with new Host sites and new technology.

The process of learning can never stop -- it is a marvelous adventure, frustrating at times, but always worth the effort. You are welcome to join me in looking into Windows and exploring the possibilities. What started as my personal attempt to figure out my own computer has grown into a much larger and ambitious effort to see what the Net can do and share what I've found. Here lies the Basics and some things you may consider Advanced.

Terms of Use

Any information found herein comes from my own experience and the efforts of those who have taught me. What is my contribution is the demonstrations of what is found in help files and on web sites of many more learned and experienced than I. If I can make the ideas more accessible for you, then my efforts are doubly worthwhile.

Share the information. Use the information. Please don't try to sell it to those newer than you. Knowledge yearns to be free and to be used.

To the best degree I can, I have avoided sprinkling the 'lessons and tutorials' with ads. Still more, I avoid recommending any software downloads which are not free for personal use. Yet, you will find the occassional ad or link like the one below from Bravenet. I don't control what they sell, but they are a reputable bunch and I wish them well.
